Thoughts on Friendship & Love

FRIENDSHIP

Friendship, most blessed relationship we share.
Physical oneness is only a shadow
Of the unity experienced in true friendship:
That is love which even lovers seldom know.

***

Faithfulness,  openness,  confidence,  closeness,
It is hard to comprehend the value of a friend.

***

Friendship is the highest form of love.
Its abundant fruit is fullness of life.

***

Take my armor,  shield and sword:
Yes, take my coat,  for it is yours.
Come share my all for we are friends.

 ***

Come walk with me.
Come talk with me.
Let us share.
Let us care.
Fellowship.
Make the most of it.
For we are friends.

LOVE

It’s true.
I love you.
Not for a moment,
But forever.
Feelings are fickle.
Love is constant.
Constantly count on my love.

***

Loving is living!
We’re never more alive
Than when we love.
Love turns on lights.
It dispels darkness
And overcomes evil.
Only shadows remain
To remind us
Of our need for love.

                                                                            ***

When God overshadowed us
With a blessing from above.
Our spirits reverently embraced
With everlasting love.
